Painted in my studio from pictures I took in Fennville, Michigan.
The owners of this field planted a 4 acre poppy field to commemorate their son, a veteran. They hope the flowers will provide peace to other veterans struggling with PTSD — in addition to all who are facing hardships during the ongoing pandemic of 2020. It was truly a magical and overwhelmingly beautiful place to be. Such a sense of peacefulness lay over the land.
